Performance Evidence

Evidence is required to be collected that demonstrates a candidate’s competency in this unit. Evidence must be relevant to the roles within this sector’s work operations and satisfy all of the requirements of the performance criteria of this unit and include evidence that the candidate:

locates and applies relevant legislation, documentation, policies and procedures

implements the requirements, procedures and techniques for the safe, effective and efficient establishing and maintenance of underground product haulage and transport systems including:

accessing, interpreting and applying the required documentation and information

developing, implementing, communicating and maintaining systems, methods and procedures

identifying hazards and analysing and evaluating risks developing and implementing audit review processes

works effectively with others to establish and maintain underground product haulage and transport systems that meets all the required outcomes including:

managing people and processes

coordinating human, financial and physical resources

developing, initiating and administering work plans, systems and procedures

engaging internal and external stakeholders

demonstrates completion of the establishment and maintenance of underground product haulage and transport systems that safely, effectively and efficiently meets all of the required outcomes on more than one (1) occasion including:

identifying the relevant information and scope of the work

identifying and selecting viable system options

identifying all aspects of the operations, systems and equipment

completing audit and review of systems and equipment

identifying, forecasting, obtaining and allocating required resources

completing equipment selection processes including scoping and specifications
